    The dilemma many parents and students face during admission is selecting a suitable college. Parents want their children to not only study, but also perform well in class. What parents forget is that a good college alone does not guarantee a student's success. It is up to students to strategize to ensure that each goal is achieved once they arrive at college. Various studies by researchers show that there are three classifications of academic learners. They include surface, strategic and deep learners. Surface learners do not meet many of the mandatory college requirements. Additionally, they practice reduced activities to reduce the need to study. On the other hand, strategic learners focus on grades rather than enjoying understanding what they are learning. Finally, deep learners aim for a clear understanding of their field of study.
