The ocean is very mysterious, there are many knowledges that the world does not even know about the ocean. Historically, ocean pollution has been a major problem, but it is increasing significantly every year. Litter not only harms the ocean, but also the marine environment. Ships can release oil spills into the ocean, which can cause significant harm to animal life. Many organizations are trying to prevent all this waste from further affecting the world. Ocean wildlife is polluted and some are even killed. Most people think it's not a big deal when in reality it is. Oil spills are largely responsible for the pollution of our oceans. These really affect not only animal life but also the quality of the ocean. Ships and boats are the main cause of so much oil in the water. These leaks can create a huge black spot in the middle of the ocean and animals can swim there and be easily contaminated. In 1979, 1.1 million tons of oil were spilled into the ocean. Many animals could have eaten the oil and become infected. Birds could get oil all over them, which can cause organ failure. Today, restrictions against oil are stricter, but there are still ships that harm the environment. Before the 1970s, ocean pollution was legal. It was not until 1972 that they adopted the “Stockholm Conference of 1972”. This was a law passed stating that throwing waste into the ocean was no longer legal. The ocean was probably becoming very polluted and many animals might have started to get fed up with all the trash around them. The government wanted to prevent the entire landfill from entering the ocean. Additionally, marine pollution was everywhere because there was pollution everywhere. In 2003...... middle of paper ...... what a big problem that should be avoided. Day by day, the ocean is deteriorating considerably. Animals get sick and eventually die. This is an extremely serious problem that should be taken much more seriously. There are a few organizations to support beach relief, but much more will be needed. Garbage, noise pollution and oil spills not only kill animals, but also significantly damage water. We must take care of the vast ocean and not let it rot with all the waste.
