    This is an illogical hypothesis and should only be taken into account lightly. Until better research with more evidence is conducted, video games should not be a factor in assessing an individual's motivations. If we come to the conclusion that video games do indeed cause violence, then it would make sense that violent TV shows, movies, and even comic books could also encourage violence. Many murders or homicides committed by adolescents or young people can be explained by other factors, such as their mental state, their social interactions at school or their parents.
