  • Essay / A Personal Account of My Appreciation for the Privilege of Admission to the National Honor Society

It is a great privilege to be one of the students who have the opportunity to be a part of the National Honor Society. Truth be told, I've been looking forward to this moment since I graduated from Arista in college. The invitation shows that my hard work and effort to be one of the best students in the school was worth it. Say no to plagiarism. Last school year I had a 3.92 GPA (95.26% average) and a 98% GPA last semester. I am proud of this average and I am also striving to improve further, especially if I want to be in the NHS and nursing program. I also plan to obtain the Advanced Regents diploma and have already completed most of the requirements to obtain it. Although I don't really have a sports team, I am a member of a choir at church. Being in my church choir taught me four things: teamwork, hard work, respect, and leadership. My church is a branch church, so I sometimes travel to different locations for conventions, meetings, and several programs. To be in a choir, you have to be able to lead the church and choir group in singing and other things. At meetings we discuss many things, like how to host programs where we invite people to participate in many different activities. The Church is like family to me, so learn to appreciate and respect them. Also in my old college in Nigeria, before transferring to the one here, I participated in several activities like cleaning the school, helping to serve food and playing sports between houses. My service, my leadership, my character and my scholarship are things that push me to be better at what I do. And to be better at what I do, I have to work harder. An admission to the National Honor Society would indeed be a privilege that I will be proud of for the rest of my life..
