  • Essay / If Stalin had written his own biography - 781

At the beginning of my life, I was a handful to my mother who was single. She was a devoted Russian Orthodox Christian who later, during my teenage years, wanted me to become a priest. At a very young age, I lost my father who was a serious alcoholic. He died from wounds he received during combat. Early in my life, I had learned that I had 3 other siblings but they died at birth. Over time, I developed a deadly disease known as “smallpox,” leaving me with a scar on my face and a deformed left arm. My childhood was always a struggle to stay healthy. My mother, who loved me very much, took on additional work to support my health. My start in life was difficult, at school children bullied me because of my scar which I had obtained from smallpox. After a while, the children started to be afraid of me. Any child who decided to overtake me paid dearly for it. A few years later, my mother pushed me to school. In 1888, my mother was able to enroll me in the theological seminary in Tiflis. My grades were excellent during the first half. I loved school until during the second half I decided to drop out because of the strict rules they had. It was in 1894 that I discovered the writings of a secret organized group. I had to read the writings of Karl Marx and Vladimir Lenin. I was so fascinated by their writing that I decided to join their organized group there and then. In 1899, while studying, I dropped out due to academic problems and had to drop out. From that point on, I decided it was best to get more involved in my secret organized group. As I acquired a job as an accountant, it was there that I encountered an organized group called the Social Democrats. It was there that I made contact with the great......middle of paper......general secretary of the central committee of the Communist Party. After the moment he appointed me to this position, I realized I had more power. I could now give work to people who were loyal to me. Soon after, leader Vladimir Lenin suffered a stroke and gradually fell ill. In January 1924, Lenin died. There were five of us seeking the presidency of Russia. While we were all fighting for power, I emerged and have now taken control of Russia. Soon after becoming the new leader of Russia, I began to move our country forward. Immediately, our production and economy were booming. Within 5 years, we started producing steel, machine tools and tractors. We began building factories, dams and other major projects. I ruled this country for about 25 years until my death on March 5, 1953. Works Cited “Biography of Joseph Stalin.” Biography. AE Networks, and Web. October 25 2013.
