Children model what they see inside the house. Children from stable married homes are more likely to experience positive exchanges and conflict resolution, which helps increase their social development. Whereas other students may not have this opportunity to see healthy relationships and therefore will not be able to learn these skills. Children who constantly hear fights or see more negative than positive exchanges are likely to repeat this with their peers. They do not learn the skills needed to create healthy relationships with their peers. An example of this would be a student who hears fighting at home over different things, the student is likely to fight with their peers over things, whether it is a ball they have to share or a book. The student may become a bully in the sense that he seeks to ensure that he stays in school.
