Griffin Chow Block: HZeusZeus is the supreme ruler of the gods. He is the god of the sky and the heavens. Zeus is believed to be responsible for bad weather and storms. He maintained order and peace among the Olympians thanks to his all-powerful weapon, lightning, which no one dared to defy. Its animal is the eagle and its tree, the oak. Zeus goes by many names; the master of the gods, the lord of the sky and simply god. He controlled the rain, the source of life in Greece. Like other men and gods, he can be deceived, but no one can compare to the power of Zeus. Zeus was the sixth and last child of the Titans, Cronus and Rhea. Kronos was the leader of the Titans and the father of the Olympians. Gaea's prophecy said that one of Kronos' sons would overthrow him. For this reason, he swallows each of his and Rhea's children at birth. After Kronos swallowed Demeter, Hades, Hera, Hestia and Poseidon, Gaia had enough. When Rhea gave birth to Zeus, Gaea helped find him a cave on Mount Ida. Rhea wrapped a rock in a cloth and gave it to Kronos to swallow, thus protecting Zeus. When Zeus grew up, he claimed to be a messenger of cups to Cronus. And with the help of Rhea and another Metis Titaness, he slipped a drug into his cup. The drug caused Cronus to regurgitate his five siblings. Now, with his siblings, Zeus attacked Kronos and the o...... middle of paper ....... The ground shook as they fought. In the end, Typhon was ready to throw Mount Etna, but Zeus threw a hundred bolts at him and it collapsed on the monster. Typhoon remained trapped beneath Mount Etna. Zeus is more than a god, he is a guardian. He protects those in need and strikes down those who are wicked. Zeus is all-powerful and mighty, but most of his victories are because he outsmarts his enemy and is always one step ahead. Zeus is not perfect. He can be deceived and deceived. Just like a human, he is lustful and emotional. But this only brings him closer to the human being. BibliographyHoena, B. and Bowman, L., 2003. Zeus. 1st ed. Mankato, Minn.: Capstone Press.
