  • Essay / Fly high! - 989

Fly high! To most people this may just be a saying, but to some this statement has a very literal meaning. I have the privilege of having met five gentlemen who live this 2-word phrase every day. They are Mr. Patrick Kimpo, Mr. Edward Libago, Mr. Jeff Hechanova, Mr. Reese Honasan and Mr. Dale Brunnell, all professional pilots. Patrick Kimpo, a Philippine Airlines co-pilot who helps control the plane, began dreaming of becoming a pilot when he was seven years old. He remembers well the difficulties of his first day of training but more savors the pleasure he feels every time he pilots a plane. Although many people say that being a pilot is boring, Mr. Kimpo thinks otherwise. In fact, he still feels the excitement and thrill of arriving at each of his destinations safely. He also looks forward to the opportunity to travel and enjoy sights around the world. Mr Kimpo explained that being a pilot requires self-discipline not only in terms of health but also in terms of time management and adherence to standards. It is also essential that a pilot knows how to make the right decisions so as not to put his life and that of his passengers in danger. When faced with a difficult situation, he must remain calm to be able to react correctly. Drivers set a very small margin for error. As much as possible, they avoid making mistakes because a wrong decision could affect their life. As much as he loves being a pilot, Sir Patrick would love to follow another of his passions, which is being a professional photographer. .M. Edward Libago, on the other hand, is a member of the Air Force. It was his ambition and personal interest to become a pilot. He finds it a rare operation...... middle of paper ......g to fly, the technology was not yet so sophisticated that they had to use Morse code to fly his plane. But now it's much easier thanks to GPS which uses satellites to navigate the sky. Our advanced technology not only makes our lives easier, but also makes riding easier and safer that it's no wonder more people want to try. to start piloting a plane. With the help of their loved ones and those around them, our pilot friends have developed a love for these big sky buses. Not everyone is as lucky as them to have the job or career they love. But let's remember that, if not from parents or friends, it all begins with a childhood dream. All we have to do is nurture that dream and strive to achieve it. With God's blessings, proper guidance and personal discipline, no sky will ever be too high. So fly high!
