ChocolateThere is nothing better than a good piece of chocolate. It's rich, it's creamy, it's smooth, and it makes us feel so good for a few moments of course, of course; until the calorie guilt kicks in. Chocolate happens to be one of my favorite candies. The wonderful creamy milk chocolate, bittersweet chocolate, white chocolate or even my favorite, a silky dark chocolate, the choices are difficult. I sat down this weekend to really think and compare the differences. I compared my two favorite types of chocolate, milk chocolate and dark chocolate. Milk chocolate is usually accompanied by nuggets, nuts, creams or caramels, but dark chocolate pairs best with a wine like a Muscat Canelli. Either makes a great dessert, treat, or snack for anyone. Chocolate is rated by percentage of sweetness and sweetness. I'm far from a chocolate connoisseur, but I know what I like. As with everything, the price of chocolate seems to play a role in the comparison by the percentage given to it. The higher the percentage of chocolate, due to the cocoa and reduced milk fat it contains, the more expensive the chocolate will become. This is where we get the different types of milk chocolates, like the great Hershey Kisses, or the wonderful creamy one. Ice cube. These are two different types of milk chocolates. Milk chocolate is just that, cocoa, some sort of milk fat, and sugar. It can contain between 15 and 35% real cocoa to make this type of chocolate. Dark chocolate, on the other hand, has a strong, somewhat bitter, deep chocolate flavor, a lower amount of sugar and dairy fat, and more. cocoa butter and flavor enhancers such as vanilla, chili, orange and mint. Dark chocolate... middle of paper... on my tongue. Then I tested dark chocolates, Godiva and Lindor have a sweeter and grainier texture than Ghirardelli chocolate. Dark chocolate not only tastes better, it's far healthier for you. After my comparison, I have to say that my favorite by far is the Ghirardelli 70% Dark Chocolate, but don't let me stop you; you are the judge. Have fun, take some time out of your busy schedule, sit back and enjoy a taste test for yourself. Sources: A WebMD.com article on the health benefits of dark chocolate.
