Motivation is what drives us to do the things we do. This is something that must be cultivated in the classroom from the beginning of the year. The teacher must understand how each child is motivated and what sparks their interest. I will praise students and make them feel good about themselves. I want every student to know that I care about them and want to do everything I can to help them learn and grow. As a teacher, I will always make sure to keep students motivated and engaged. To make this happen, my role as a teacher is to plan and develop activities that students will find motivating. Intrinsic motivation is the motivation that students have within themselves. Intrinsic motivation is when a student is motivated to do something because of their own interest and curiosity. It’s the motivation you have within you that is personally rewarding. For example, searching for a topic that interests you because you want to learn more for your own benefit.
