What do humans regularly teach those growing up in a fast-paced culture? For Americans, there is a certain dream brought into the story as a small child, often referred to as "the American Dream." A place to strive towards, a dream of success, a place of success where one lives one's imaginary life in luxury. Naturally, being in charge of the position of CEO of a large and successful company is a perfect example of this. It attracts many people, including those who find money and power most attractive: psychopaths. Not everyone in high-level positions is considered; hence shared traits between the two, such as having a ruthless, manipulative and ambitious personality. Vile acts seemed to be tolerated rather than condemned, and empathy seems to have been rejected for a ruthless nature about how to succeed. To do this, we need to think about how the CEO should make decisions, even if they are ruthless. Employees need to be let go at some point during the life of the business because not everything is big or grandiose all at once. When business is bad, CEOs are unable to pay certain employees, although the experience is different for each individual and sometimes the CEO has to give up more than he thought. This detached decision is often seen as heartless and unsympathetic, linking it to a psychopathic trait. In addition to ruthless acts, competition is high within the free market, and sometimes the CEO has to tear them down. Ensuring business survival is the key to success. So, when rivals appear and threaten to harm companies, the CEO must be more effective in defeating the threat. When it's anyone's game, there will be times when the CEO will have to be ruthless when putting ... middle of paper ...... in his intelligence and ego on the line. Success doesn't come without its downsides, especially when it starts taking care of people we don't need as much. Although these psychopathic people seem to be a common place because of the way they act and handle decision making within their company. As a result, they may exhibit a wide range of negative traits related to psychopathy, but are not psychopaths themselves. For example their cruelty towards other individuals, ranging from their employees to competing companies. Feeling above the moral high ground by controlling everything about himself and striving to meet his ambitious needs to cure his boredom. However, this can all be explained quite easily, but ironically the similarities are uncanny and unfortunately there is no way to stop these types of people without them committing a terrible crime..
