  • Essay / Henry David Thoreau Kindness is good investment analysis

No thanks, no smile, nothing. They act like you're supposed to do it for them. This generation makes the quote counterattack. The government is handing out money, food stamps, health care and housing to people and they just want more. No gratitude at all. They have that, they give me what I want and then a kind of attitude. I know people who own their own businesses. Out of the kindness of their hearts, they help people and are taken for granted. They always come back for more. They always expect good from those who are ready to give and never produce this good in return. By using the word investment, the author is trying to make it more powerful. If I invest in something, that means I'm buying something. If I do all the good I can do, I should receive as much or more in return. Earn something to get something in return. If I invest in something, I hope to get a better return. By saying that it never fails, the author is trying to make the reader believe that it is always good to be good. In other words, if I show kindness all the time, I should receive even more kindness in return all the time.
