    A great leader is a person who takes and guides a group toward a certain direction or goal. Leaders not only designate tasks and responsibilities for their subordinates, they teach them and help them accomplish their tasks. The purpose of this article is to talk about a great leader who was faithful to God until his last breath. We will explore Joshua's history, personality, and leadership style.History/BackgroundEvery person needs good leadership, especially in times of struggle and doubt, for those who lead and may one day serve as leaders, Joshua serves as a model. According to Damazio, “leaders are the first to model God’s will for others to follow; they take the forefront and lead by example, whether fighting God's enemies or establishing truth and righteousness in God's kingdom" (Frank, 1996, p, 19)" . Joshua therefore stands before us as an example of what it takes to be a great leader. We must emphasize the historical truth of the Bible when it recounts the life of Joshua. Joshua is the compelling story of the fulfillment of the promise. “Then Jehovah gave to Israel all the land which he had sworn to give to their fathers; and they possessed it and dwelt there” (Joshua 21:43 NIV). This is the land that God had promised to Israel through Abraham, Isaac and Jacob. Part of Joshua's story includes the fact that he was able to possess the land of Canaan; by faith and obedience to God it was accomplished. It is impressive to note the great influence that Joshua had among those of his generation; this shows that he was a leader of great influence. Part of Joshua's story includes that he was born as Hosea be Nun in Egypt, in 2406. Joshua's qualities of background, personality, and leadership style, along with the mighty hand of God, qualified him to be able to achieve victory. Although Joshua faced real battles of flesh and blood, he shows us how today we can put on “the whole armor of God” to defeat the powers of darkness and achieve total victory. In a world where Christian role models seem increasingly rare, Joshua reminds us that some of the most worthy examples of divine character remain the biblical figures who brought power, wisdom, and inspiration to God's people throughout the ages. Joshua was a faithful man to God, whose goal in life was to be faithful to the end. The principles that run through Joshua's life guide us through the maze of challenges we face in today's world and help us emerge victorious...
