INTRODUCTIONThe case presented, Claiming the Throttle: Multiple Femininities in a Hyper – Masculine Subculture (Martin et al, 2006) is a reinvestigation of Schouten and McAlexander's (1995) ethnography of landlords from Harley-Davidson. which deals with issues of feminism in a hyper-masculine subculture. The authors also mention "Lucy just likes being a 'girly girl,' dressing up and going out" while Allie highlights her love for several feminine objects and social markers of heterosexuality (Martin et al). These examples show the growth of feminist culture in modern society. Through these examples, the authors conducted their research and gained a multi-perspective view..
