    Now is the time to take previous knowledge, combine it with new technologies, and share the information with every country, state, city, and home. I truly believe that if every individual could contribute to environmental problems, our world would be a safer place. For example, if every diesel truck were taken off the streets and replaced with a hybrid vehicle, carbon dioxide emissions into the atmosphere would decrease. It’s important to care about what’s good rather than what’s “cool.” The habits established in our homes must be seriously reconsidered. Using compact fluorescent light bulbs and purchasing solar panels can also contribute to the improvements our country needs. Building smaller homes and purchasing more energy-efficient appliances, like dishwashers and televisions, will produce similar results with fewer consequences. Small changes can make a huge difference. Public transportation is rarely used to fill the lack of access for many families, but in states like New York and Chicago, the majority of individuals rarely own a vehicle.
