I am writing this statement of purpose to describe my educational background and career goals that motivated me to pursue an undergraduate degree in mechanical engineering. From the age of 6, that is to say from my second standard, I have a keen interest in mathematics and science which improves the quantitative aspects and analytical skills in me. This strength helped me score 85% in my 10th standard. I passed my high school with 96% in mathematics and 87% in physics respectively and I obtained an overall percentage of 87.60% in mathematics, physics and chemistry which were my main subjects. To study in the field of engineering, I had to overcome obstacles. , a common entrance exam, which I had to take with almost two million students, all aspiring to pass. I passed with flying colors, being ranked among the top 20% of students who took the exam. A large number of challenges and the rapid development of technology and science led me to choose mechanical engineering. I studied Mechanical Engineering at CMR College of Engineering and Technology affiliated to the prestigious Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University, as an undergraduate specialization, as it has huge potential to become a dominant force in this era. I obtained a distinction in the mechanical stream of this university and have maintained an impeccable and brilliant academic record throughout my years in this course. My undergraduate studies provided a...... middle of paper ...... your university makes its graduate program ideally suited to my academic goals. I think graduate studies here are very promising for me. The breadth and depth of the courses coupled with a stimulating research environment seem to me to be the right mix between creative work and new research methods. To conclude, I would like to end by saying that I am fully aware that a career in research and academia requires a high level of intelligence, persistent dedication and a lot of sacrifice. I sincerely hope to have a mutually beneficial association with your university to contribute my best to the success of a research effort. Joining me in your university seems like an excellent first step and I look forward to your kind act of accepting me into your fold and granting me admission to Masters in Mechanical Engineering..
