    For this particular research paper, one question needed to be answered: what role does myth play in the Song of Solomon? This particular question had posed the most important and significant part of the novel. Was it really a myth or the truth that helped the novel progress to its conclusion? These questions will be answered as this article progresses through its pages focusing on the myths and events that occurred throughout the novel. Song of Solomon was a novel written by Toni Morrison that is likely biblical in its aspects. It was very similar to the biblical book of Songs of Solomon in its aspects and facets about love, romance and change. Toni Morrison's Song of Solomon touched faith, belief and human experience. In this particular novel, one could understand the vast scope and immensity of love as it influences literature, history and people of different cultures and countries. This novel by Toni Morrison is what reminds us of the antiquity and greatest meaning of love when it is nourished by any means necessary (Bloom 35). As critics had said about this novel, Song of Solomon is an allegory of God's relationship with his chosen people, the Israelites, who attempt to live their lives as God's most beloved people. Song of Solomon is a love story that tells us about a young man's discovery of the ancient history of his past and the experiences he gained to become a better person than he was before. Song of Solomon is a story that fully told readers the complexity and difficulties each of the characters faced regarding true identity and ancestry (Bloom 35). It was his precise and auspicious way of realizing the importance of each myth and folk tale which then enabled him to completely integrate all its aspects into his magnificent story. By giving Morrison's characters names derived from biblical or mythological figures, she was able to compare them to epic heroes whose experiences had transcended the world's cultural and temporal boundaries.
