Throughout his book, Yamashita created a well-described connection between humans and nature. In reading Through the Arc of the Rainforest, Yamashita brings up many solutions and problems that are present not only in the time the book was written, but even in the present day. In this article, I argue that Yamashita describes the relationship between man and nature as dark and gloomy, while having some sparkling hope. This would raise many reasons why people depend on nature. I will then compare his depiction of the human relationship with nature to the work of artists such as Jae Rhim Lee. The book is very interesting, character development and nature development. Let's start with what I thought before the book, and just reading a small section of the book. It is written in such a light and friendly tone, happy and optimistic. But as the end approached, I began to develop events foreshadowing what was to come. As each character's stories progress, it becomes quite disturbing and strange. Well, I don't know if this applies to everyone who read the book or not, or just people in general, but the book made me feel like I could do something to help the environment instead of making it worse. Just as Simal stated on his third page, "the ecosystem must be considered as much 'natural' as 'unnatural'." It would help to understand that what we do, like we are a natural species, while what we do seems unnatural. And so, because of this point of view, I would say that the book shapes the way readers feel and think about how we humans create unnatural things, but end up being corrected by nature, the making it natural or, in a sense, a cycle of naturalness. unnatural and return to nature. While I ...... middle of paper ...... ry about what we are doing wrong, while the other gives an example of how one can be as small as one can do to help in a small way. From the book to Jae Rhim Lee, nature has its own ways. The world will balance with or without humans, perhaps longer or just as quickly. Even though we create things that harm the earth, nature balances itself not only through destruction but also through creation and adaptation. I think it's a wonderful world we live in. I think it's scary to see what Earth can actually do by getting rid of the things we depend on, or by deciding to unleash a disease out of nowhere that kills a good portion of humans. But at the same time, generate life and that’s beautiful. As beautiful as nature is, it's sad to see how few people are trying to make this place a better, more environmentally friendly world, for people like Jae Rhim Lee, great job finding ways to help reduce the ecological footprint..
