Intro:A. Question 1: How many of you are against Walmart? Question 2: For those of you who are, why are you against it?^Reasons 1-5, back it up with facts.B. Walmart is often seen as a big corporation that is greedy, selfish, and out to make money for itself. This company is often criticized for costing jobs, paying wages that aren't exactly on par with other competing companies, not having health insurance, destroying local businesses, and harming the environment. It is my job to explain to you why most of these statements are not true.C. Sam Walton, founder of Walmart, received a $25,000 loan from his father-in-law in 1945 after returning as an Army officer during World War II. He then used this loan to open his first discount store in Newport, Arkansas, and then opened his first Walmart in 1962. Over the next two decades, Walton managed to turn this store into a franchise worth $45 billion. of dollars. This is what I call the “American Dream.” Walmart is being criticized for actions that are not true and can be supported with facts if necessary. People make assumptions about it without knowing the truth behind what they are saying. These assumptions should be changed because Walmart is indeed a very successful cooperation and benefits the economy and communities around it.D. When a Walmart comes to town, there are usually protesters to follow. And usually these protesters are protesting about "the environment" or "that this is going to destroy the community", but really, they're not protesting the environment or local businesses, they're protesting because it's a Walmart and it's not fair. This can apply to any criticism made by the company. People blame it for costing jobs because it's a Walmart. Substandard salaries? Because... middle of paper... that is, it harms the environment. If these people really cared, they would research how harmful this product is, but would only find praise for its pro-environmental actions. Conclusion)1. Walmart is one of the most successful franchises of all time and continues to be criticized from multiple angles, from the cost of jobs, to wages, to health insurance, to the destruction of small businesses. businesses or environmental impact, but it can still support itself. by negating these claims with facts that prove it is beneficial to the community.2. Walmart is here to stay, whether you like it or not. It will remain the leading retailer as long as it satisfies consumers by increasing their accessibility and the quality of their consumption. Whether or not you choose to shop there, Walmart should still be recognized by all as a wonderful American institution.
