Bruce Lee was very famous because of his martial arts and his career in the film industry. Throughout his life, he achieved great success becoming an actor, director, screenwriter, and martial artist. He is considered the greatest movie star in history. He is also well known for changing the way martial arts was viewed around the world. Bruce Lee started small but quickly influenced America with his determination to achieve his goals. Early Life From the beginning, Bruce Lee had a very busy childhood. Bruce Lee was born on November 27, 1940 in San Francisco, California ("Bruce Lee"). His name, Bruce, was given to him by a hospital nurse (“Bruce Lee Biography”). He was the fourth child of Lee Hoi Chuen and Grace Ho. Bruce had four other siblings, Phoebe, Agnes, Peter and Robert. His father, Lee Hoi Chuen was a Chinese actor as well as an opera singer. Her mother, Grace Ho, was actually of Chinese and German descent. This makes Bruce not 100% Chinese because his grandfather on his mother's side of the family was actually German (Rousseau). Due to his father's work as an actor and opera singer, this got Bruce involved in films from a young age. During the Middle Years Then, during Bruce's teenage and young adult years, he experienced a lot. Early in his studies, he was involved in fights with British schoolboys who taunted him. Around the age of 13, he met master Wing Chun martial artist Yip Man...... middle of paper ...... part of the film industry and a famous martial artist. He created his own book called Dao of Jeet Kune Do. Overall, Bruce Lee created a new perspective on life by passing on his legacy to everyone.
