Back then, you had to wait for someone else to pass or try to walk to the nearest gas station to call for help. Before the advent of smartphones, if you were seriously injured and unconscious, no one except your loved ones knew your medical history. There is now an app on most cell phones that contains all your information, for example: your full name, address, age, blood type, health status, etc. Overall, I'm very happy to have my cell phone with me at all times. just in case of emergency.
