  • Essay / Internship Analytical Paper - 882

My internship at the small business, The Cambridge Professional Center, LLC, located in Morristown, New Jersey, was a unique and incredible experience. During my time at the center I was able to work on a range of different projects, such as publishing a book or participating in therapy sessions; therefore, I was able to explore, in the real world, the two areas I wish to specialize in, psychology and English. Even though my internship at the center only lasted three weeks, or 78 hours, this experience taught me a lot about others and about myself; Moreover, the senior project showed me what I want to do in the future. In fact, brainstorming and writing this article helped me reflect and analyze my personal development throughout this experience. During my work at Cambridge Professional Center, LLC, I have learned a lot about what working in the real world entails and about myself. . The Sunday evening before my first day of senior project, I was packing my bag and talking to my mother. I went through all the items in my bag to make sure I had everything I needed for the next day. As childish as it sounded, I stopped mid-sentence and asked my mother, "What am I supposed to make for lunch tomorrow?" She responded with a smile, “Brown puts it in a bag.” Having attended private school my entire life, I never had to pack my lunch in a bag. Although it's small, it's one of many examples of what I learned throughout my senior project experience. I also learned to better manage my time at work and at home. Throughout high school, I basically spent all my time working; However, with the senior project, because I was working long days, I limited the hours I spent working at home. Not only did it minimize my stress, this tactic middle of paper......, outside of my sheltered academic life, by giving me the opportunity to do real work. When I sometimes struggled to complete work, I realized that I needed to be completely self-sufficient. There was no one to help me. Because of this, I learned a lot of real-world skills in less than three weeks. Overall, I'm really happy that I chose this specific senior project. Working at Cambridge Professional Center, LLC showed me a clear career path and gave me more confidence. In conclusion, I think the senior project is a great opportunity for those who benefit from the project. The only advice I learned from the senior project that I would give to upcoming juniors is that if you make the most of the senior project or a situation, you can grow as a person, learn things about yourself and build connections for the future.
