  • Essay / Why I am opting for Industrial Engineering in my undergraduate studies

The way the invention of the wheel simplified the quintessential essence of life; allowing us to take a broader approach to unraveling the unknown external world of civilization, the way we approach the number "0" which helps us unveil the unquantified modus operandi of its applicability in scientific research and the way whose cryptocurrency is shaping the future as a digital currency uniquely designed to function without any individual assistance has led me to rethink my own abilities to find new ways to decipher the meaning of life, this who pushed me to redouble my efforts in every aspect of life in a quest to discover advanced approaches to solving complex systems. As I assume that knowledge in itself is nothing, but the application of useful knowledge, now powerful and likely to benefit, this is the ultimate intention that made me look at a wide range of topics who guided me towards the ideology of the option. in industrial engineering as an undergraduate. Say no to plagiarism. Get a tailor-made essay on “Why Violent Video Games Should Not Be Banned”?Get an original essayI never looked back after the decision I made at that time, I had an organized vision and well oriented in my life from what I am until after staying true to my determination, succeed in my life, but like a revelation, I discovered that it was more than what I wanted and what I had planned in the past. Since day one, I have always been intrigued by how a process or approach itself relates to its essence in defining a new outcome that would minimize the chance of errors and result in better testimony in self. I firmly believe that industrial engineering alone has enormous potential to decode an ocean of complications to pave the way for simple navigation. All these courses motivated me to do an internship in the manufacturing sector. During my summer internship at the “Bhilai Steel Plant”, which is the oldest steel manufacturing industry and is the first and leading producer of steel rails in India. The internship in such a prestigious company gave me great industrial experience in the industrial department. During my 4-week training, this allowed me to familiarize myself with the SAP MM module and the supply chain of a department. These four weeks of interaction with such experienced people in the field of manufacturing sectors in various disciplines helped me gain vast knowledge about the steel manufacturing process from scratch to finished products, constant supply of products finished or wide range of manufacturing products, even while the factory is closed. at the bottom, their practical approach to the successful practice of 5S, the implementation of quality control processes, the establishment of management control systems for cost analysis and optimal budget planning, the design of management control systems control to coordinate activities and production planning to ensure that products meet quality standards, develop management control systems to make financial planning and cost analysis more effective. This motivated me to explore the real-time scenario again and get more detailed information. So I did a second internship at Vizag Steel Plant, which is one of the youngest steel manufacturers. I had gained in-depth knowledge in Medium Merchant & Structural grinding unit. Here I had learned about various rolling, turning and cooling processes in manufacturing. As it isfrom the youngest factory, I had the chance to experience the latest technologically advanced machines and processes. This exposure to manufacturing practices made me complete a final year project using both experience gained in the industry and various optimization techniques to find the most optimal conditions of various parameters affected during manufacturing. The exposure gained during my internship made me think about optimization. various factors involved during manufacturing such as material removal rate, forces affecting the cutting tool, etc. inspired me to search and find the optimal conditions. With this curiosity, I worked on a project in my final year titled “Optimization of Surface Roughness, Material Removal Rate and Cutting Forces in Turning of Al356.2 Alloy Using of the Taguchi technique. The project was highlighted by the elimination of repetitive experiments and an efficient material removal rate in an optimized time for the alloy. In this project, our team worked from preparing the alloy and casting it into a cylindrical rod to using a central lathe to turn the metal rod. Through this project, I gained the real-time experience of manufacturing a product, collecting data related to various cutting parameters and analyzing the data using MINITAB 17 software, which led me to discover this application. This helped me provide a detailed analysis of the complex solution by validating the results using analysis of variance (ANOVA) and the percentage contribution of each parameter. After completing my undergraduate studies, I started working for a multinational organization Accenture Solution Pvt. Ltd. for approximately 26 months as a quality assurance analyst with knowledge in the field of capital markets and financial services. It is difficult to work in a software industry, which places no limits on the application of my skills acquired during my undergraduate studies. I have worked for different roles starting from analyzing the requirements to delivering a quality product without any leakage of defects. I need to prepare the datasets used for quality testing that include both positive and negative scenarios. This helped me implement the skills learned in topics such as quality control, data sampling tools and methodologies. I have applied various process improvement techniques by implementing agile hybrid techniques which are most suited to the service industry, resulting in a significant decrease in downtime between development and testing and helped in delivering quality results with better productivity. I led a team of three people to automate the tool using JAVA and Selenium, which eliminated repetitive tasks from 10 days to 4 days and improved the process and use of resources. The projects carried out by my team allowed me to effectively develop my leadership skills. I would continually use all my professional experience that I have acquired over the last 2 years in such a way that it would benefit me in my higher studies. I had acquired various skills like Minitab, ARENA (Simulation), ANSYS, Auto-CAD, C and C++ improved analysis and programming skills. One of the organizing members of the “Optimization Reinvented” event organized by the Industrial Engineering department advanced my management skills. Very well versed with many industrial tools used for automation during my work at Accenture. Tools like Selenium for.
