His family was greatly affected by the whole ordeal. His son Mark, Tresniowski says, struggled deeply with the scandal. Although he has not been charged with any crime, he has faced numerous lawsuits claiming he profited from the scandal. “He admired his father 100%, almost divine,” explains Allan Klein, a friend who had known Mark since high school (Tresniowski, 2011, p. 60). “Mark was in a really dark place and he didn’t see any way out.” Mark couldn't handle the whole scandal and ended his life abruptly by hanging himself from the ceiling beam right after sending an email to his friend.
