    IntroductionIn centuries past, forms of mayor-council in South Florida counties have frequently been correlated with the association of corrupt officials. Voters have been conditioned to expect corrupt tactics from local governments, but endurance levels have been set; which means they can take some, but until now, before people speak out. Supporters or supporters are mesmerized by officials as they campaign and mobilize to gain support from locals. Discourses of lies and deception have become the dominant jargon of political discourse. Cutting taxes, creating jobs and lowering crime rates are the propaganda proposals of political leaders to vulnerable supporters. Forgotten promises become a vague memory of why officials were elected. Instead of achieving the goals they set for themselves, they are warming up their luxurious leather mayoral seats; plant a few trees in town; kiss a few babies and make the city's treasure his personal piggy bank (e.g. former mayor Carlos Alvarez). Apparently, duties as mayor were hampered by lust and greed once in office. The ethics of the true meaning of a mayor and his duties have been manipulated and abandoned since the true origins of the obligations of the mayor-council form. Furthermore, voters suppressed their opinions and submitted to corruption, despite obvious abuses of power. Residents believe their voices will be ignored; therefore, they are willing to accept repression and submit to corruption until they think the well is dry. Multiple cases of political corruption among mayors surround the question of what allows for mismanagement of power?
