Where we are born, how we are raised, and how we interpret life vary. However, every few generations, a stressful and worrying event occurs in a child's life that could have a significant impact on them and their future. Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) is a mental disorder that results from experiencing or witnessing an extremely traumatic or tragic event that exceeds a person's ability to cope. People with PTSD usually have frightening thoughts or vivid memories or dreams of the event. How a child reacts emotionally and mentally to a tragic event depends entirely on their mentality. Some people can overcome a traumatic event and live their lives; others may lead to more problems and a life of crime. Post-traumatic stress disorder primarily affects children, putting them at risk of leading violent lives in the future. Children are considered innocent and pure in the toxic society of the world. When a child is deprived of their purity by witnessing a tragic event, it can have lasting effects on the child. War, natural disasters, car or plane accidents, death of a loved one, rape, kidnapping, and child neglect are all examples of traumatic events that can lead to PTSD. It's a feeling of helplessness. It is normal for a person to experience PTSD symptoms after a tragic event. After the death of a loved one or a natural disaster, most typically feel numb or disconnected.
