With his evolution as a person and his better understanding of the world: Charlie Gordon is a complete person. Daniel Keyes exploits the many flaws in today's society regarding people with intellectual disabilities. He tells the reader: being smart isn't everything and no matter what you do, some people will never like them. You should always be yourself and not try to change, we are all special as we are. No matter how hard we try to change ourselves, we will always be who we are because that is how nature intended us, to change it is to try to go against it. a much higher power in which we will ultimately fail. Accept who you are and be happy with what you have, because changing yourself won't make you happier..
