  • Essay / The Life of Pi as a Life Story - 987

The film first catches my attention by showing all kinds of animals. The kind of animals you can only see in zoos. Also, the gardens filled with magnificent flowers attract my attention. And the peaceful music that the film plays makes me think that the film will stay that way. The Life of Pi tells an astonishing story of life, loss and survival. Pi Patel lives in Canada, but is originally from India. Pi has a reporter at his house who asks him about the incredible story of Pi, who lived a life of 227 days. Pi grew up with his mother's religion, Hinduism. Later, around the age of 12, Pi was introduced to Christianity and then to Islam. Pi follows all three religions but Pi's father doesn't like religion and says Pi can't three religions at the same time. Additionally, Pi's brother listens to his father in religious matters. When Pi is seventeen, Pi's father decides to sell the zoo his father owns and move to Canada. So, Pi's father buys a passage for Pi and his family. Additionally, Pi's father bought passage for all the animals in the zoo so he could sell the animals in Canada. But during the trip to Canada, a big unexpected storm arrives and sinks the ship. Because Pi wanted to watch the storm, he ended up being able to jump on a lifeboat. However, none of Pi's family made it onto the lifeboat. Pi is now trapped on a lifeboat with a zebra. During the storm, Pi throws a perseverance into the ocean thinking he is saving a person. However, what Pi recovered was an adult Bengal tiger. Plus, Pi has a monkey and a hyena on the lifeboat with him. Yet all the animals except the Bengal tiger die. Pi has very little food and water on the lifeboat. But Pi must learn to survive with nothing but a hungry and scared Bengal tiger. Somehow Pi survives the tragic loss of his family and in the middle of paper......the cook and the crew member jumped on and broke his leg at landing. Pi couldn't live with what happened, so he made up the story of the tiger. Additionally, the animals in the ship's hold would not have been able to escape. And no one would have taken the time to shave the animals. Everyone on the ship should have been focused on saving themselves; animals would have been the last thing on the crew members' minds.
