When students cooperate on an assignment or project, the intention is to have them work together to complete the task. Both students should understand the entire assignment and have the ability to remember each other's thoughts. Collusion is when students wrongly cooperate to obtain a grade. The two students don't know much about their counterpart. Collusion should be avoided because even if the task can be completed, students still do not understand the part of the work they did not understand.
