  • Essay / The Jersey Devil: reality or fiction? - 1017

IntroductionParanormal activity is simply the activity dealing with strange spirits and phenomena that cannot be explained by what the scientist knows about nature and the world (Merriam-Webster, 2014). There are several different types of paranormal entities such as Poltergeist, spirits, hauntings, etc. Hauntings appear in most places and appeal to all senses except taste. Hauntings can come from anything related to the life form that was once alive (MPI, 2009-2014). Poltergeists are “noisy ghosts,” but what really sets them apart is that they are attracted to one person, the epicenter. The epicenter is usually a person, usually a woman, going through puberty and sometimes emotionally stressed (MPI, 2009-2014). The Jersey Devil is a mythical creature from the Pinelands of New Jersey that has haunted New Jersey for 260 years. He intimidated towns and closed factories and schools, but some believe this is an old legend. There are 2,000 sightings of the Jersey Devil, which is too many to call it a legend. Dave Julian said: “He was about three and a half feet tall, with a head like a collie dog and a face like a horse. It had a long neck, wings about two feet long, and its hind legs looked like those of a crane, and it had horse's hooves” (Julian, 1995). The creature is very different from the one that inhabited the New Jersey area. The most popular legend about the Jersey Devil is that of Mrs. Shrouds of Leeds Point, New Jersey, who wished that if she had another child, it would be a devil. His next son was born and he was deformed and very unsightly. Mrs. Shrouds was a witch and she dabbled in witchcraft (Julian, 1995). The Jersey Devil preyed on animals such as coyotes, foxes, bobcats and badgers. The animals that were in the middle of paper......the Jersey Devil with the broom until he freed the dog. There were at least 100 people there, so there is no doubt that this statement is true. It's true because an entire neighborhood saw the Jersey Devil that evening. The statement is true and honest. Account 3This statement contains incorrect information. The claim contains all the claim data. She said she came to see that her dog had been chewed and ripped off its chain by the Jersey Devil. She did not see the Jersey Devil, but she said she saw unidentified tracks that could have been those of any animal. The claim is false because there is no evidence leading to the Jersey Devil. //theshadowlands.net/jd.htmhttp://www.strangemag.com/jerseydevil1.html
