    The development of technology is developing rapidly, as various high-tech products are constantly being released. Technology plays an essential and indispensable role in our daily lives, and it is also the way to interact with others. The technology seems really practical to us. We can get tons of information from it, we can entertain ourselves and communicate with others immediately and easily. However, technology poses a big problem in our real lives because relationships between people are negatively affected by the development of technology. The main cause of this problem is that the development of technology has changed people's lifestyle. We overuse and overly rely on digital devices. According to a Google study, Hong Kong's mobile Internet usage rate is the highest in the Asia-Pacific region. In Hong Kong, the fact is that 96% of smartphone users use their phones daily (Google's Research, 2013). For example, it is not surprising that people not only wait for the bus at the bus stop, but also use their smartphones. Smartphone addiction is becoming more and more serious these days and generates many personal, family and social problems. These days, we no longer just eat at dinner time, we scroll through our smartphone screens at the same time. Plus, we're not just chatting with our friends present, we're all tilting our heads and using our smartphones. These familiar situations simply imply that we are all “alone together,” meaning that people are together when they are not together (Turkle, 2011).
