He has received many awards, such as Bram Stoker, World Fantasy, Bristish Fantasy since 1970. “Why we crave horror films” is one of his writings that I would like to talk about. In his essay, he demonstrates that we all possess a certain degree of madness within our psyche. However, he considers it acceptable that we do not give in to this madness. It also shows another reason, that is, we want to know how scared we are, the last reason, it gives us interest in watching horror movies.
