How would you feel if your devoted dog was discriminated against based solely on his appearance? Dog breed discrimination is a real problem in today's society in the United States. There is always a huge amount of media hype when we hear about a dog attack. The first thing people want to know is what type of dog was involved in the attack. This breed of dog is then labeled as "dangerous", quietly forcing people to change their minds about a certain breed based on the actions of just a few dogs. We will fight for what we love and if someone or something hurts us, we will fight physically to protect ourselves. The same scenario goes for dogs. If a dog feels threatened, it will protect itself the only way possible by biting, attacking or biting anything that threatens it. Racial discrimination against dogs is a huge problem and many factors determine it. These factors include breed-specific legislation, each dog's background, and the impact of the media. Dogs are just mammals and can attack when they feel like something is threatening them. They're not angels, but with proper training and love, a discriminated breed has the potential to be a great dog and a loving piece of their family..
