  • Essay / Fracking or Hydraulic Fracturing - 833

FrackingThe process of hydraulic fracturing, also known as hydraulic fracturing, is the act by which oil and gas are sprayed with huge quantities of water mixed with many chemicals deep in a gas tank. Hydraulic fracturing splits rock formations to allow oil and gas extraction. Hydraulic fracturing was first used in Kansas in 1947 (Fracturing in Cali). Since then, hydraulic fracturing has become a regular practice to eliminate unrecoverable reserves or to boost production from oil wells in the United States of America. Workers have been using this process for over 30 years with no reports of scandalous results. Hydraulic fracturing in California has been practiced throughout the state. For example, Glenn, Los Angeles, Monterey, Sacramento, Kern and Sutter. Many fracking companies have fracked offshore oils hundreds of times. Fifty to sixty percent of new oil was now fracked, according to Halliburton's estimates. This hydraulic fracturing process may have been carried out elsewhere in California since state officials have not monitored or tracked the history recently. The increase in oil prices is due to the exploitation of oil from the Monterey Shale using toxic fossil fuels such as hydraulic fracturing. The formation beneath the Los Angeles and San Joaquin basins contains nearly 14 million barrels of recoverable oil. If, for example, hydraulic fracturing and similar processes are not banned in California, the state will soon experience extremely dangerous California oil spills and booms. While this process can be effective in removing unwanted oils, fracking can contaminate our water, pollute the atmosphere, and affect wildlife. The basic process of hydraulic fracturing has been used in wells since the late 1940s. When a vertical... middle of paper... Once the process is complete, proppants hold open the cracks left by the fracking, allowing oil and natural gas to flow back into the well. Hydraulic rock fracturing is necessary to extract gas from formations in which the space in the rock is too narrow to allow fluids to return to the well. Without artisanal fracture, oil and gas cannot be obtained. This process breaks up rock formations to allow oil and gas extraction, but it can also pollute our water, impact our atmosphere and put wildlife at risk.
