    Alcoholics AnonymousAt first, I was very scared and worried about going to an Alcoholics Anonymous (AA) meeting. I wasn't sure what to expect and the only time I really knew what happened at these meetings was from what I saw on TV. I decided to go for just one night and was very surprised how the meeting went. At first I felt a little awkward, but I wanted to have a good experience, so I was honest and open, like everyone else. There was a feeling that you should be comfortable here and be able to share your struggles and your experiences and that you and everyone else could learn from them and reflect together. The meeting was small, maybe fifteen people and we all sat in a circle. There was one person running the meeting. The meeting was an open meeting, meaning alcoholics could attend with family members or friends. The meeting started with one person introducing themselves and everyone responding by saying hello together. Each person shared their story of how they struggled with alcohol and their journey to get there....
