    Lost Faith in God The book Night by Elie Wiesel tells the story of a religious young boy who begins to lose his faith in God at such a young age. The book deals with tragedies as well as events that occurred during the Holocaust and in Nazi concentration camps. The young boy named Elie Wiesel deals with the death of his family as well as the painful moments of the Holocaust. There are many depictions in this book of how trama-shocked Elie Wiesel is at such a young age. With all the painful periods of the Holocaust, Elijah lost his innocence and his belief in God. Even though Elie is a very young boy, he is very serious about his religious beliefs and studies the Jewish religion almost endlessly. Before the Holocaust began, Elijah went to the Jewish temple every evening and prayed to his God with all his beliefs. While Elijah was praying at the temple one night, his spiritual mentor Moshe the Beadle asked him, “Why are you praying?” » (Wiesel 2). Elie is shocked to hear such a question because for him, praying is as natural as breathing. Elijah firmly believes that there is a God to whom we must pray. But shortly after the arrival of the Germans, Elie and his family were deported. He and his father were sent to concentration camps.
