    People compete for scarce resources. Bias and discrimination are used by companies that need people to work for them. If workers start striking, they demand a raise and benefits. They will look to other racial and ethnic groups who need jobs, such as African Americans and Latinos. Like in today's society, people think that Mexicans are after their jobs because they don't care about the nature of the job. This is a type of bias that people are discriminated against because they get jobs that people wouldn't want to take. The reason is that they have no money and need a job. Companies use reserve labor and divide labor markets. Reservists are unemployed people, just like immigrants. A divided job market where, as white people know, someone wants to take their job, and black Africans perceive Latinos as competition for their jobs. Bias is very subtle in high-ranking corporations and uses discrimination to keep people from rioting by dividing along racial and ethnic lines..
