  • Essay / Life Opera singer Luciano Pavarotti - 686

As an art form, opera is a rare and remarkable creation. For me it expresses aspects of human drama that cannot be expressed in any other way, or certainly not as beautifully. -Luciano Pavarotti Although I consider myself an eclectic person with very widespread musical tastes, I cannot say that I have tasted all genres. there is but I hope to remedy that by listening to any type of music presented to me with an open mind and heart. The individual I chose to write my music writing assignment about is Luciano Pavarotti who was in my opinion the greatest opera singer of the 20th century. but I have to be honest with you, I never heard this musician sing until I got bored one day and started trying to discover new genres of music to listen to and I typed in his name on Google and this site then directed me to YouTube and then I typed in his name and since I knew a few composers I typed in Ave Maria and his name and when the video finished loading and I heard this calm and soothing voice coming out of such an imposing man I was captivated and since then I have been addicted to opera.Luciano Pavarotti was born in Medona, Italy on October 12, 1935 under the astrological sign Libra which means balance. He was the son of Fernando Pavarotti, baker and amateur tenor, his mother was Adele Venturi and she was a worker in a cigar factory. He was an only child and although he says he has fond memories of his childhood, the family was very poor. His first musical influences were therefore his father's recordings and it was for this reason that at the age of nine he began singing with his father in the local church choir. He was also taught by Professor Dondi and his wife, but he had no interest in singing at that time....... middle of paper ...... if this glowing praise, Pavarotti had an ugly hidden image, he was authoritative, his artistic limitations included laziness, unreliability and frequent cancellations due to health problems. He was also childish, as described by his first wife Adua Pavarotti. Luciano was first married twice to Adua Veroni from 1961 to 2000, but she divorced him in 2000 after 36 years. marriage because he was notoriously unfaithful to her, they had 3 daughters together named Christina, Lorenza and Guiliana PavarottiLuciano later married the secretary but she also has a doctorate in biology. He was cheating on his wife whose name was Nicoleletta Mantovani. They had a daughter together, Alice, and were married from 2003 to 2007 when he died of pancreatic cancer. His funeral took place in his hometown of Medona, Italy. It's still one of the biggest funerals Italy has ever had..
