God wanted what was best for man. As Creator, He knows what is best for His creation. Some of his consequences may seem harsh, but as a father he was trying to teach his children how to live holy. He uses promises and consequences to teach His children, just as we do to teach our children. The only way to have a relationship with Him is to remain holy. These two chapters help the reader understand holiness and its importance. The teachings and practices are important today because we need to be sure that we hold ourselves to the same set of laws and morals. If everyone lived without rules and laws, the world would become chaos. Most importantly, these teachings help us understand the importance of being holy. It is crucial for man to have a relationship with God to have eternal life. To do this, we must be sure that our relationship with Him is holy. Because if it doesn't, then we don't really like
