Do you think homeschooling is expensive? Well, you are about to learn a lot about homeschooling in this article. Many people are homeschooled in our country because their parents believe that public schools have a poor learning environment. According to an NHES survey, thirty percent of parents believe that homeschooling is better. Public school does not teach the same amount of information as homeschooling. A common misconception is that homeschooling would cost more than public schools simply because homeschooling does not have the same materials as a public school. In reality, public school costs more. How? Well, there are additional costs such as tuition, sports, and books. Whereas in homeschooling, you don't have to do this. Should parents be required to be certified teachers to teach their children at home? Currently, this is not mandatory because as long as they can read and write, they are qualified. Parents can teach their children the way they want them to learn. Some people say that homeschooled kids are smarter than public school kids, and that's actually true (“Homeschooling”). Homeschooled students receive more attention and aren't around a lot of people, so they learn faster and better. Homeschooling is found throughout the United States and was made legal in 2003 (“Homescholing”). Additionally, some parents might not want to send their children to a public school because they might think it would be unsafe for their children. In this case, they would do everything they could to homeschool their children. Plus, they might not want them to go to a public school because they don't know what's going on. For example, children can talk to their children about drinking, smoking,...... middle of paper...... or their family, but only to certain people. Perhaps the content can be explained differently by peers. So the main topic of this article is that homeschooling is different from public schooling. Homeschoolers are much smarter than us public school kids. Their test scores are much higher than those of public school children. Don't take this as public school kids not being as educated as homeschooled kids, because some of us are very smart and still others are very stupid, or even just don't care . Most public school kids are like that. After doing all this research, I learned a lot about homeschooling and what parents go through to teach their children. I would never want my mother to do all this for me. Personally, I do very well in a public school, I would probably do better if I was homeschooled, but I enjoy being around people too much to be homeschooled..
