Civil Rights MovementOf all the movements in history, the Civil Rights Movement would have to have the most powerful and moving argument. This is the most compelling and moving movement of all because people's lives were at stake. This movement is a specific leader because it is an event in history that had a change drama about the world and which made it what it is today. Also, the Civil Rights Movement is a specific event because of the events that took place during this movement. Some of the areas targeted by reform were equal rights between blacks and whites. This movement would have to be both powerful at the time it occurred and still powerful today. Without the Civil Rights Movement, our country would still live in hatred between whites and blacks. This is the most compelling movement because people's lives are at stake. During this movement, many things happened, beatings, killings and even protests against the Supreme Court and the President; which gave rise to very famous trials. It would be more emotional than others because some events cost people their lives, reputations, pride, and more, just for fighting for something they wanted or loved. For example, a woman named Fannie Lou Hamer once went to register to vote; after that, on the way home, she was arrested and beaten until she was exhausted (University). Most people today would be horrified by this situation, because this woman was beaten for no reason, well, no reason for today's world. Additionally, many famous court cases took place during this movement when people began to challenge the legal system; because of the unequal rights between whites and blacks. Some of them...... middle of paper ... ways. Therefore, maintaining this powerful movement allows the United States to move forward; although it was also difficult to use. In conclusion, the civil rights movement was the most touching, difficult, and rewarding movement in history. This movement was difficult to get across, people lost their lives and were mistreated for no reason; however, they continued to fight for their rights. The civil rights movement was a leader and a specific event in history because of the events that took place during that time and without these events, today's society would not be the same at all. The areas targeted for reform were mostly whites fighting for equal rights and mostly blacks fighting for equal rights. While believing that this movement was powerful at the time and believing that it still is today. Works Cited University, Howard. Liberty System. sd.
