  • Essay / God in the Eyes of a Six Year Old Child - 542

The child I chose to write this assignment about is 6 years old, which means first grade. He lives with both his parents and has a 15-year-old sister. years old and a brother aged 7 and a half. He owns a Labrador dog named Mambo. He loves playing football and hockey, in addition to playing Wii with his whole family and watching action movies. He goes to church about 5 times a year, usually on Christmas Eve, New Years and on his family members' birthdays. During the interview, the child was distracted quite often, but was nevertheless able to answer all of these questions. Although he seemed confused while explaining some of them as "What is God thinking now", he was also sure about some of them, as he tried to explain that somehow Another, God sees the best in us. The indicated work helped me understand what children of my age think, and it was also not so difficult to have the necessary requirements to carry out this project. This boy was happy to do this interview and he did his best to answer all these questions. The questions he was able to comment on in the most detail were "What is God like" in addition to "What does God do" as in To both of these questions he gave long answers, he seemed to be sure of them and he said without a doubt. In both questions his answer was quite similar. He says God is there to protect everyone, to help the sick, and most importantly, he cares about everyone. I assume this only because the child comes from a Catholic family where he was taught the values of God, he has faith in God. At one point during the interview the child contradicted himself, as soon as he was asked: What happens when someone dies, he looked confused and said several answers to this subject. After all, the answer I decided to write was when he said that good people will go to heaven with him. I guess it's completely normal since he's young enough to know or think about this, but the boy kept trying to justify the question. Even though I know it wasn't necessary, while I was taking a break, he grabbed the paper and asked why these questions were crossed. . So I decided to ask him. I consider that one of the characteristics that will enrich this analysis will be that he gave more details in each question, but as we know he is only 6 years old, so, of course, I did not expect long, highly structured sentences..
