Born on June 19, 1623 in Clermont Ferrand, France, Blaise Pascal would change the world of science and mathematics. He was a French mathematician, physicist, inventor, writer and Christian philosopher. He was a child prodigy. His childhood was neither a story of misfortune nor extreme happiness. However, his inventions remain highly appreciated. Blaise Pascal has made numerous contributions to the world of mathematics and science. Additionally, people expanded on his contributions. When Blaise Pascal was three years old, his mother died. `Etienne Pascal, his father, had to take care of Blaise and his older brothers and sisters (Jacqueline and Gilberte Pascal). In Paris, France, Etienne moved his family. Wanting to teach his son the arts first, Etienne did not want Blaise to focus solely on mathematics and science.
