There are some people who didn't do very well in elementary school. Some may have even given up. But fear not, because college can be like a second chance. There are many things that university can offer. It can give someone a degree or help them get back on their feet. College can open doors to areas that high school never opened, like a new job, how to keep a job, and how to make more money. It can also help an individual delve deeper into topics. Personally, I hope this happens to me. I didn't do very well in high school, but I didn't do very badly either. My parents are not proud of it. They expect me to be a top student, but I struggle to meet their expectations. This causes my parents to be stricter with me. However, I hope that once I start working full time at a college, I will be able to do better than I did in high school for several reasons. For the first reason, I want to have a better relationship with my parents. I want my mother and father to see that I am successful. Second, I want to get a degree for my own sake. Finally, I want to have a good future for myself. I don't want to have a job that is difficult and stressful physically and mentally.
