  • Essay / Analysis of the Kreutzer Posdnicheff Sonata - 1328

After listening to the piece, it seemed to have connotations. The feeling of the song is certainly exciting. There is also an intimate feeling. This reflects, I think, the feelings of Posdnicheff's wife towards the violinist. While it's hard to say whether or not she likes this man, she certainly enjoys spending time with him, and the play they practice during this time reflects the relationship itself. I think this is relevant to Posdnicheff because it's a situation he can actually learn from. His wife doesn't seem to care about anything that concerns him. Their relationship is broken and according to Posdnicheff, their children don't even make his wife happy. Posdnicheff, as I mentioned before, believes that relationships are just an excuse to have sex all the time. But his wife's affair seems to indicate otherwise. The violinist enjoys spending time with Posdnicheff's wife. After hearing Posdnicheff's theory about the uselessness of marriage and reproduction, it got me thinking about humanity.
