Unable to see McMurphy imprisoned in a body that will continue to live (under the control of Nurse Ratched) even if his spirit has disappeared, the leader choked him to death that night. Then he escapes from the hospital and leaves for Canada and a new life. We begin to see the different situations in which patients struggle to overcome. Whether he's crazy or not, the hospital undeniably controls the fate of its patients.
