  • Essay / Critically use feedback provided as evidence...

Feedback is defined as “information in response to an investigation, experience, etc. » (Houghton, A. 2009). This means receiving information about what you are testing. Our experience was to deliver a presentation and use the feedback received to analyze where the strengths and weaknesses were. The comments were made up of different categories and focused on how the group delivered the presentation. On the comments form there were boxes and each box was given a subtitle and a blank space for the rating, 1 being the lowest to 5 being the highest, and a comments box for the public to comment on this what was good and what could be improved. . Using feedback provided by the class, this essay will examine the strengths and weaknesses of the presentation as well as how to develop those weaknesses so that they become strengths in future presentations. In preparing the presentation, the group met to discuss ideas on how the presentation could be divided into research parts, see brainstorming notebook. The group also discovered that although the actual purpose of this essay was to show how the group performed the PowerPoint, the purpose of the presentation was to provide information (Payne, E and Whittaker L 2006: 193). In introduction, the group obtained a score of 71% out of 100% among the two highest scores of 4 and 5, see appendices 1 and 10a. One of the comments that consistently emerged was the need to clarify objectives. Next time the group should have a specific page dedicated to objectives, as this will not only clarify to the audience what we are aiming to achieve in the presentation. The conclusion obtained a score of 71%, see appendices 3 and 10c. Scores varied on this. Some comments noted were that the middle of the document would be significantly improved if the group rehearsed the presentation more. Also if the group made the presentation in front of a small group of people. Being able to do this would allow the band to be less stressed when performing in front of a larger group and become more relaxed when it comes to talking to people. If these weaknesses are worked on, they will then become strengths in future presentations. In conclusion, although the group managed to perform at a high level, there are still certain aspects that need improvement. These improvements need to be worked on so that each subsection can achieve higher grades next time. Works Cited Houghton, A. (2009). Back. [Online] Available: Last accessed February 6, 2014.
