What is an extraterrestrial? Extra•ter•res•tri•al: exterior, or originating from outside, the limits of the earth ( ). They are more commonly called extraterrestrials. There are two widely recognized types of aliens: microbes and those with probes. The small life forms of bacteria are studied and tested by us humans. Conversely, we are studied and tested by larger, more intelligent beings. There are many accounts of animal and human abductions and alien sightings. A considerable amount of data has also been collected on microbes. Aliens exist and have left evidence in the modern and ancient world to prove it. As it has been defined, an extraterrestrial is a being that does not belong to the human race or the Earth we live on. The first things people think of are usually little green men, Martians, space bugs, spaceships, probes, etc. These ideas are based on Hollywood and the media. Movies and cartoons depict either cute, cuddly aliens like ET from the 80s, or giant, evil creatures intent on enslaving the earth like in War of the Worlds. The media also broadcasts reports of crop circles and witnesses seeing lights in the sky, which turn out to be hoaxes. This kind of entertainment being considered information, it leads us to the question: do aliens really exist? Scientists around the world are studying space earth and lunar rocks, looking for evidence of life. Their main goal is to find microbial evidence of life. So far, scientists have discovered fossils of microbes in the Arctic. They also discovered organic compounds found on planets. These compounds are similar to those found on earth and necessary for life. Organic compounds have also been found on meteorites, which travel millions of miles in spa...... middle of paper......
