  • Essay / 12 Modern Labors of Hercules - 1309

Have you ever thought about what labors Eurystheus would have assigned to Hercules if he lived in the modern world? At the time, the jobs that Eurystheus assigned to Hercules were based on feats so difficult that they seemed impossible, such as defeating the Nemean lion, defeating the hydra, etc. But what work could Eurystheus entrust to Hercules if he lived in the modern world? In my opinion, I think Eurystheus would give these works to Hercules if he lived in the modern world. The first job Eurystheus would give Hercules would be to beat Usain Bolt in a 100 meter sprint. Usain Bolt holds the record for the fastest time in the 100 meter sprint with a time of 9.69 seconds. Hercules would meet Usain Bolt at the Regupol Tartan Track. The Regupol Tartan Track is the athletics field on which Usain Bolt trains in Jamaica. They were doing some training runs on the athletic field and Hercules noticed that whenever Usain Bolt sprinted, he took long strides and used that to his advantage. Usain Bolt and Hercules go up to the starting line and wait for the starter to fire the gun. Once the starter fires, Hercules and Usain Bolt sprint as fast as lightning. Usain Bolt started with a lead, but once Hercules started taking longer steps, he passed Usain Bolt and beat him with a time of 7 seconds. Usain Bolt congratulates Hercules and gives him his track shoes as a reward for beating him. Hercules returns to Eurystheus with Usain Bolt's running shoes as proof that he beat him. The second job that Eurystheus would give Hercules would be to find the Thin Man (a mythical creature often depicted as a tall, thin figure wearing a black suit and a blank face) and kill him. In order to kill the Thin Man, Hercules must make his... middle of paper ... jumped in without hesitation. After 5 minutes, Hercules comes out of the volcano naked because the volcano had burned his clothes. Hercules returns to Eurystheus, bare buttocks, as proof that he did indeed jump into the volcano. The 12th job that Eurystheus would give Hercules would be to do 100 push-ups, 200 pull-ups, 300 sit-ups, and 400 squats. . Hercules did the exercise in sets of 10. He did 10 push-ups, 20 pull-ups, 30 sit-ups and 40 body squats 10 times. It took Hercules an hour to complete the job. Hercules threw up after finishing training. Eurystheus congratulated Hercules on completing the 12 labors and told him that he had been forgiven for the murder of his wife and children. Eurystheus asked Hercules what he was going to do since he had finished all the work and Hercules responded by saying he was going to Disney World..
