    The speaker introduces us to the reality of true love. Mocking us with his notions, his expressions and yes even our public displays of affection. The ironic nature and this final affirmation of true love are expressed succinctly in this poem. By confronting us with ironic examples of the presence of true love, he reaffirms our humanity and our existentialism. It begins with “True love.” Is this normal/is it serious, is it practical? (1-2) True love in its true sense is all of the above; it is essential whether we find it or not. Two people who are in love and may feel lonely actually become the channel of true love. Often our true love shines through from within, touches the souls of others or, in plain English, rubs off on someone else. I think this is why wedding guests feel like love is in the air.
